My husband and I went on this trip during our visit to Amsterdam. The trip we enjoyed and would definitely recommend. Food was great and boat warm even on a cold November evening. I found the small boat much more intimate than the larger boats you can book and very cosy inside with tables and decor very nice. Quite a... More

We booked this, on a recommendation from another friend, in order to show some visiting friends the sights from the water. We arrived early so were able to pick out table and we opted for the lovely secluded little booth at the back of the boat. Both the Captain and our chef d'service were lovely, very friendly and were genuinely... More

My wife and I booked this dinner cruise as part of our honeymoon celebration in Amsterdam. I was honestly not sure what to expect but this ended up being one of our favorite things we did while there, and was a fantastic way to spend a romantic stress-free evening while seeing the beautifully-lit picturesque city from from its iconic canals.... Cruising the canals sounds great, but 3 hours at night, looking through dirty windows, eating Luke warm over cooked food is not what I had in mind. I would prefer a 30 minute daytime cruise and will recommend that to my friends.

Congratulations to Marten and the whole team. We chartered the boat for an evening celebration of our 25th Wedding Anniversary with friends joining from far and wide. Couldn't have been more accommodating and the food and service were outstanding - BIG THANKS for a special evening!!!!!

Just enjoyed a very good evening cruising the canals around Amsterdam whilst enjoying an excellent dinner. Unlike a cruise we did before there were no attempts at 'showing us the sights' which can be tacky when people just want to chat and the staff let the beauty of the city speak for itself. Strongly recommended

We had a day in Amsterdam and visited Anne Frank House and did a riverboat cruise. Transportation was a breeze from the airport and the city was so clean. Well worth a visit.

Amsterdam has many canal boat dinner cruises, but this one was rated as uniquely intimate, with its small and vintage wooden vessel. Although it was fully booked for the night we requested, we were put on a waiting list, which resulted in us sharing the stern table with three others from Canada. What a wonderful evening! The cruise route was... More

I did a lot of research before our trip and I'd heard good things about this dinner cruise. It's not a guided tour with commentary like the regular canal cruises, just a pleasant relaxing ride through the canals while eating an excellent meal. It was within walking distance of our hotel and easy to find. If we'd been just a... More

We were celebrating our 45 wedding anniversary and really liked the small canal boat. It only holds 12 people. There was the captain and the one waiter. We sat right behind the captain and really enjoyed the narrative he gave while we went through the canals. You saw a part of Amsterdam you would never see if you didn't do... More

Staying in Centrum

Neighbourhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
