In June four of us visited Amsterdam for the first time. Our plane arrived at 7 AM from Washington, DC and we know we’d be tired. We decided to fight-off jet lag by taking a three hour walking tour the afternoon we arrived. Eva from...More

I took the tour of the diamond history of Amsterdam. Fantastic! Definitely worth your time. Very detailed and nicely explained using the surrounding buildings. Very much feel as is if you are part of the history. I would recommend this for all ages.
We had a wonderful tour around the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum with Hanneke. We were enraptured for three hours and it really helped us to see the highlights in both museums and have a real understanding about what we were seeing. We all...More

Thank you for your message; nice to hear that you will come to Amsterdam! We would be happy to provide your group with a tailored tour that fits their interests. Depending on where they are staying, we can either pick them up at the hotel, or meet somewhere else.
In general it's good to know that the tariff is €80,- per hour (including VAT) for a maximum of 8 people. In your case we would charge some extra per additional person.
There are a lot of options we can arrange for you. For example an easy walking tour through the city, including a quiet part of the canal ring, the Anne Frank house, Westerkerk, the picturesque Jordaan area. If you/ they would be interested, it's great to take the ferry across the river and visit a former wharf, transformed into a cultural hotspot with beautiful views.
If they would be interested in art as well, we could combine a shorter street tour with a visit to the Rijksmuseum (Hanneke is a very skilled, enthusiastic museum guide as well) or Van Goghmuseum. The entrance tickets are not included in the price.
If the group is interested in Jewish history, I would be happy to take them on our unique tour following 10 generations of my own family, seeing where they lived and learning all about general history through personal story telling.
We could also create something else, for example visiting less touristic neighbourhoods with interesting architecture, social-historical stories, galleries, ..
Looking forward to hearing from you and to guiding you!
