Great museum, small, old, with beautiful displays but NO English text ONLY Dutch - so if you are from any country other than the Netherlands you will not know and understand any of the exhibits - very disappointing.

Rather small museum located in historical building and area in heart of Maastricht. Full of fossils found in the Limburg region - especially Maastricht area. Good explanatory video on its geology and life in earlier times. Currently also housing an exhibition on colors. Next to...More

This museum is small but nice. Beware that the museum is rather disappointing if you expect english signs. Everything is in dutch and there is NO translation! This makes it rather annoying, especially when you look at random bones and have no idea what you...More

Some interesting exhibits here, including the massive jawbone of a mesosaurus removed from the limestone tunnels of Sint Pieter. If you like fossils and skulls, limbs, insects, birds and edcuational exhibits, this is definitely worth a visit.

It's really frustrating that the collections didn't have a English translation of the Dutch prescription. The museum had a nice collection and I would recommend it.

I'm a geology and biology buff so I loved this, but it's smaller than you'd expect and a lot of the displays are outdated or moulded casts of the real thing. You have to be interested in the subject matter to overlook it. There is...More

Set in a beautiful and historic part of Maastricht one can find this very interesting Museum of Natural History. That’s because of the diversity on display of everything that nature holds. For instance, it’s nice to be able to see what one is being told...More

Interesting place, nice exhibition about animals and plants. The only downside is that everything is written in Dutch!

An exhibition on the geological history of the region, with some insights of the evolution of animals, men and nature in a historic building. One room shows how exhibitions were held in the past, also a must!
