If you want a nice view of the city, take the steep stairs to the top of the steeple. It’s worth the climb. Go early to avoid a crowded narrow stairway

A bit of a climb but well worth it for the view of the city and beyond. These bell towers, their construction and the bell/ clock mechanisms are amazing. Great value for 3 Euros admission

You can climb the tower, it gives you a good view on Groningen, but this goes for any church tower... it's not spectaculair to look at, no special features, but best place to overlook Groningen and thus worth a visit.
