This small local aquarium is nicely located near the water waters edge by the Eems Hotel. Worth a visit however expectations need not be high.

A nice, bit old fashioned aquarium/museum that has fish ... and other fish ... and molluscs ... and clams ... and boat models, sonar/radar mock ups. Friendly staff, some interesting stuff. Good enough for about two hours of mildly exciting entertainment on a rainy afternoon.

The museum itself makes use of a old German war time bunker for keeping the aquarium and its contents at a constant temperature and is a brilliant use of something for which it was not intended. The museum was educational and we found the kids...More
