I think it's been said that there are three bicycles in the Netherlands per head of population so... read more

I think it's been said that there are three bicycles in the Netherlands per head of population so it seems natural that there is a national bicycle museum. Velorama has quite a small footprint and is spread across three floors with a tight spiral staircase...More

There is a wonderful collection of a variety or different bicycles from all over the world spread over three floors. There is also a display of bicycle lamps from over the years. There is a cafe which has old silent movies which is worth a...More

This museum covers the period from the very earliest velocipedes up to mainly the 1930's. There are a few cycles after that point, but not many. But this helps with the depth of the look at the stages of development - with plenty of different...More

In a country that's generally overrun by bicyclists one has to jump in a bicycle museum :) Positively surprised! It is a small building with several floors full off exhibited bicycles of different times. The route and timeline is clear and there are truly some...More

We cycled here from Arnhem. It was really worthwhile. The whole history of cycling is here with stunning examples, many, many of them, of the history of the bicycle. It is a quiet museum and you can really take your time looking at some of...More

A pretty comprehensive collection of bicycles from the first to fairly recent times. Well laid out with a booklet in english to borrow that explained the Dutch labels. A nice museum that deserves support and is exceptional value for money.

As you'd expect, lots of bikes spanning hundreds of years and originating from lots of different countries. One disappointing factor was the blurb about each bike was in dutch, with no english translation, lucky for us we had Google translate on our phones so it...More

We just came out of the museum which is a little pearl if you like old bikes. Not far away from the city center we went there because it was one of the only museum open on Mondays. Nice visit! I can only recommend it!

Spread over 3 floors this is an interesting bicycle museum. Bikes of all ages from all over the world. It was interesting and it would appeal to all age groups. Took us an hour to walk around it. It has a cafe and a toilet.

This museum is not so big, and there are no big sections, but just following the path in the museum you will probably see hundreds of bicycles, from different types, countries, and times. It is very interesting for anyone who love to cycle. There are...More

Right at a mile, maybe a little more depending on what route you choose. About 20 minutes.
