We just had to cross this famous bridge. Ok it's not the most thrilling of adventures but think of it's unique history and that gets the juices flowing.

The John Frost bridge was very important in World War II. The British tried to conquer the bridge under the command of General Montgommery. Although the British army bravely competed they had the bad luck that there was a big German SS Panzer battalion stationed...More

There is a museum located very close to the bridge which is definitely worthwhile if you are interested in reading about the history of this famous bridge. Free entry to the museum and the terraced stairs outside provide a nice place to sit and chill.

Helpful and knowledgeable staff. Good presentation regarding the area during WWII. A very interesting movie from the perspective of the residents of Arnhem.

Worth seeing, but be sure to complete your visit by going to the nearby historic museum which summarizes the events of Operation Market Garden related to this bridge too far.

This is the replacement for the bridge the Paras tried to capture during Market Garden, if you know where to look there is still original damage to the buttresses. A great place to visit
