Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Let's take a step back... first we had coffee and a cookie and then looked around, back in time. Chatty ladies/volunteers uphold honor. Recommended for the elderly, for recognition. Happiness was common then.

We walked by this little shop museum and tea room twice without realising what a little treasure was so close ... we had to really look for it after seeing it in a brochure. The volunteers who staff the museum are friendly and will point you to the various areas to investigate, the original basement, attic and living quarters in addition to the store front 'stocked' with examples of brands of goods still recognizable in many cases. We were provided with a book that had an English translation so we could better understand the history of this place. A step back in time that was fascinating.

in a small street leading to the city center this old grocery store reminds the days of our youth. It is still as it was 50 years ago. Selling old candy and enabling to have a tea with cake in the back room

Charming little shop, still selling things, but also a museum of old products and items used in a shop. Stop for a cup of tea or coffee and enjoy the atmosphere.

Really gives the feeling of how this kind of shops used to be in holland. Very nice initiative. I wish there were more places like this, younger generations have no idea how shopping used to be.

For history lovers it is a lovely little museum house/shop with just a few rooms. Dutch people must have been much smaller to fit in this little places.

Little old museum shop. Very cosy. You can buy typical sweets and have a drink if you like. Friendly staff?

This is a great old little shop that gives you a good feeling of what grocery shops used to be like. Have a look around and buy yourself a few sweets while you are there. The drop (licorice) was delicious.

We had a quick peek in this museum. It is an old grocery store. The friendly tour guide took the time to explain the history of the store and the building to us.
