Zurich is so richly endowed with both natural and artificial waterways. This branch of the Sihl discreetly divides Enge from mid-town. Lately one nice cafe restaurant has been opened on a corner of Blecherweg. The location is real nice and it attracts people to the...More

I love walking through the canal. The waters are so clean, and it is very quiet and peaceful. During spring time you can see many fish feeding in its water, a very relaxing activity

This branch of Sihl runs out in modestly from the Lake of Zurich. It is a relatively narrow little river but adds a sense of diversity and richness to the town. It is a a well-drained branch and nicely kept-up.

Below street level for most of the way, with a few surprises (Zurich's Canoe Polo Club?!) it offered a nice peaceful transition from lake front to shops

Quiet and peaceful which is not surprising because Zurich is no New Yourk City or Hong Kong. But it is an especially good place to have a walk, relax and sort out your mind. Water birds are not afraid of strollers - just see the...More
