The Beyer Clock and Watch Museum is housed in Zurich's most prestigious shopping district, situated in the very heart of the city, in the premises of the Beyer watch store. The exhibition comprises some 300 pieces from all fields of chronology, which are examined in technical and scientific terms as well as from an art-history point of view. The museum is home to one of the most important horological collections in the world. It recounts the complete history of timekeeping from 1400 BC to the present day.

Pretty impressive.

Not too many, but adequate for a watch museum. Unlike other watch brand's museums, Beyer shows history in an objective manner.

A tiny little space with a number of exotic clocks, watches, and curiosities. I thought it was worth 30 minutes but some others in my group wanted to spend 2 hrs there.

Let's begin with the best- the lady in charge of the expo. Incredibly urbane, knowledgeable... and overall nice. She presides over dozens of breathtaking little pieces of beauty and ingenuity, which you just have to see if you like beauty, or admire the mind of men. Definitely worth it.

I visited the Bayer Clock museum on a bleak day in February 2017 and found it to be surprising good. The museum is small but it is only €8. It has some interesting pieces but the star attraction is the curator whose enthusiasm for the topic is infectious. Walk in a normal person, walk out a clock nerd!

If you're a watch or clock enthusiast, this museum is a must and it's definitely worth the CHF8 of entrance fee. It is not a huge museum but it's got a wealth of information and history on clocks and watches. I ended up spending more than an hour there.

Museum has only one big hall but it has unique collection of all possible clocks and watches that will be interesting for kids and adults. It starts with copy of ancient Egyptian water clocks, unusual clocks that is 500-300 years old, clocks that are real technical miracles and finishes with different beautiful modern clocks and watches. Some of them are... More

We walked past the Beyer store without realizing the museum was inside and had to walk around the store to figure out the museum was inside the store. But once we got in and viewed the collection, our mind was blown. The museum is small but the exhibits are exquisite and some of them date back 500 years or more.... More

A must stop location during any trip into Zurich, the timepieces are stunning, with some working items and the staff members are very knowledgable and friendly! Make sure you use the iPad for more detailed information about the various items.

The Beyer Clock and Watch Museum is a small museum with an incredible collection of clocks and watches. When we arrived, we were given iPads for a self-guided tour. The information on the tour consisted of history background and the functioning of the clocks. It was quite complete, but the best moments were when the gentleman in charge (didn't get... More

This little museum is located inside Beyer watch shop in centre of Zurich. it is conveniently located & has a small but precious collection of antique clocks. For admission fee of 8CHF< once can use an ipad which illustrates the background history of each clock & demonstrates its chimes & mechanisms. Gem of a museum in centre of Zurich
