Cute and clean, Montreux offers a range of classic French village architecture. A n harmonious pallet of Bright blues, pure whites, lemon, sage, forrest green, rust, and red colors soothe and excite the eye. A French lake side paradise window into the past.

The old town of Montreux requires a walk uphill of about 25 minutes. It is a very quiet part of Montreux with narrow cobblestone streets lined with historic houses. A typical Swiss village. There is not much to see here, but go for the atmosphere....More

Except a nice view of Montreux and the lake, there is not much to see in the old town. There a no restaurants, no attractions and no shops. Even the buildings are not that great. It is worth the detour for the view, but only...More

This city is the Beverly Hills, French Riviera, Champs Elysees, Park Avenue of Switzerland. Anybody who's anybody in Switzerland has a pad here. It's next to an amazing turquoise lake with palm trees.

Beautiful views from the slope to the lake when you catch a glimpse on the lake. Beautiful promenade also on the lakeside.

This is a very quaint Swiss village on the shores of Lake Geneva. They have a great Christmas Market that was beautiful but in day and night. The vendors offered a wide variety of wares and the food was also delicious.

We walked up from our hotel to the Old Town's winding roads, not particularly to look for anything but just to take in the architecture and churches and wonderful views. It's not incredibly steep but we spent an hour or so wandering up through the...More
