Strange thing to review really... But aesthetically impressive with the lake Geneva backdrop. If you're in the area you'll probably pass it by anyway. We came during the Christmas markets. Worth a snap and see the tributes left there

For many, many years I've been a fan from Queen and its front man Freddie Mercury. As I'm working for the MOB railway company, I often have the chance to visit Montreux. Strolling along the lake on the Promenade leads immediate to the monument of the great pretender.

It's on the sidewalk next to a Lake Geneva, you won't miss it! Very well portrayed sculpture of one of the most charismatic artists of the last century. It's obviously crowded next to a statue, so if you want to take a picture, you will have to wait for others to be done with their selfies :)

Freddie Mercury has been my grown daughter's favorite vocalist since she was a teenager. So it was a reason we went to Montreux in the 25th anniversary year of his death, and very exciting for her to visit his Memorial on the shores of Lake Geneva in Montreux, So many tourists were viewing it on a cool and drizzly late... Have a listen to Bohemian Rhapsody with Freddie while gazing out over Lake Geneva. His statue is right on the waterfront at Place du Marche. If you walk east (water on your right) from Freddie, you'll come to casino Barriere on Rue de Theatre. The casino burnt down on December 4, 1971 during a concert by Frank Zappa and the... More

This statue on the promenade is a great tribute to the rock legend. It was a highlight of my trip and an easy location to find. I knit him a wristband and attached it to add a little bling and personality to his statue.

Well... there's not much to say here. It's a very detailed statue of Freddy Mercury situated along the waterfront. There are lots of benches nearby and sit and enjoy the scenery.

In the avenue of close to the lake, near of the main "port" is the monument. Freedy was live the last part of his life in Montreux.

It's interesting to visit this statue of the famous Freddie but you don't lose anything if you don't. You may combine it with a lake walk

It is a part of the over all music theme depicted by metal sculptures all along the water front. Cool to see, but don't make a special trip
