What a place!!!! We loved touring and the chateau is most interesting. Lots of good displays and explanations of the medieval history. And the setting right on the lake is so scenic. When you tour you just need the written guide. The audio guide is not necessary. Nice gift shop too

A chateau with beautiful breathtaking surroundings. The best place to see in Mountreux. Has well documented History which u can see & hear with headphones provided there on the desktops placed in visitors area. You ll need to walk the stairs .so be ready for a good walk up and down for about 20 to 30 minutes minimum.

It was a brief stopover at this caste called Chateau de Chillon. A nice walk around the castle enable us to take some nice photos. There were a lot of groups there and one could do some souvenir shopping and have a cup of coffee or beer at the lakeside café.

Went to the Chillon Castle 4 weeks ago. The castle itself is well worth a visit. But pay attention to your belongings especially outside the castle, before or after the visit. There are just all sorts of people around you. My experience: After visit the four of us headed back to our car parked at the parking lot about 300m... More

Whether you are interested in castles and history or not, this castle is worth seeing. It is organized so that you have to walk around a certain circuit which takes you around all of it with some beautiful scenery and surroundings.
