Lots of action and activity going on all the time here. Can sit for hours and just 'people watch'. Beautiful views and benches to sit on to enjoy them. There is a carousel and ice cream vendors, some cafes and restaurants are near by.

This is the nicest part of Lausanne. On a nivel afternoon it is lovely to still by the lake, and watch allí the activity.

Nice area for pictures. The park was very busy with young and old alike. Play equipment for young children. The day we were there there was some kind of Asian festival happening with food tents, music and dancing.

No the restaurants are pretty sad and old but uncharming. There is a chain-style Italian place, a bunch of old-fashioned outdated restaurants with terraces, like Le Pirate, or you can pay through the nose at the Beau Rivage... More

It would be so cold there in winter everything would be covered in snow.but if you do want to go catch a train from Aigle to Lausanne and then the light rail to the Ouchy which takes less than 10 min
