We got on in Evian and took the boat over to Lausanne, Switzerland for the afternoon. We had seats on the lower deck (elderly mother-in-law) would have had trouble with the steps to the first-class upper deck. Even so, the view of the lake and shorelines was breathtaking. The water was so beautifully blue and clean. Refreshments are served and... More

A must for everyone, a great breathtaking experience and the views are somthing to write home about. Sit in the first class upperdeck worth the extra money you spend.

We took the train to the castle near Montreux and then took the boat back which was, honestly, just about the right amount of boat time. It was a great way to see the coastal villages and was no extra charge because we had Swiss Travel Passes.

We took the boat from Lausanne to vevey to see the photographic exhibition and then caught the train back to the airport. The boat like the Swiss trains runs like clockwork. Sit on deck and watch the vineyards flow by, watch the shiny engine turning or have a drink in the beautifully renovated interior. This trip took about 1 hour... More

We rode this lovely boat to the chateau. Lovely fresh air and sunshine. I like how the engine is exposed so that you can watch it at work. Very cool!

We went from place to place around the lake every day using the steam boats. The water is calm so there's no worry about anyone getting seasick, and the views are spectacular no matter where you find your seat, although the upgrade for the 1st class on the upper deck is a no-brainer. It's not expensive and it's quite a... More

We took the paddle boat from Lausanne to Montreaux. The historic and beautifully maintained boats are a great mode of transportation and a relaxing way to see the lake.

I did the 2 1/2 hour circuit without stops. Nice time on the lake, with lunch which was good but not spectacular.

If you are visiting Lausanne you really need to get out on the beautiful lake. I suggest a ferry cruise. The one we took was just the right amount of time - about 4 hours. We stopped in St. Gingolph and a few other spots but only got off to walk around Montreaux in between boats. You can take much... More

By being nauseous at the sea, I had missed many boat voyages! This time it was different! We took this " masterpiece" and decided to visit Montreux! My family convinced me to do it bc the lake was very calm! Her engine worked so smoothly that I enjoyed the voyage!I loved the framboise tarte they offer onboard and took tons of... More
