Took the gondolas up to Mürren to get to experience sledding down the “Bob Run”. Rented sleds in the town and then took the train up to the top of the run for a great sledding experience down the famous Bob Run. An approximately 3 km run that you can sled down. Great fun for the whole family a must do while in Mürren. …

This is a very nice rail up the hill. There are GREAT views from the top as well. The top of the ride has a restaurant, though it was closed when we were there. They also have a kids playground. The views from the top are amazing! If you're lucky enough to ride up on a clear day, bring your camera! We rode up and hiked down. We are not experienced hikers by any means, but it was a pretty casual 60 minute stroll down for us. There are quite a few trails you can take from here. The trail we wasn't very busy and the views were amazing all the way down. A little pricey for the ride, but take the one way and a casual stroll and you'll love it!…

Dear mlbpafan Thank's for your report. It really is a great stroll from Allmendhubel to Mürren. You must come back in spring time ! that's the best time - you will see all the famous alpine flowers while hiking down !

The less than 5 minute train ride here costs 14 franks round trip. You can buy one way for 7 , and hike down. The views on top were one of my favorite in whole Switzerland because you are very close to the main 3 peaks. Schilthorn, for example has the views on the same 3 peaks but you are much further away. Dont have to hike if you dont want to, just pick a bench and stare.…
