Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

On a grey day earlier this week we decided to visit JungfrauPark with our kids 8-12 years old. We were impressed by the quality and breath of the presentations and attractions in this park... and we had some interesting follow up conversations with our kids on Erich von Daeniken's theories! It really takes a full day to see everything, we arrived shortly before 3pm which still gave us three hours with already quite a good impression of the Park though.

First park of it's kind that we attended. It is based on the theories from Erich Von Daniken ( Chariots of the Gods) who is in the park 1 Sunday of each month for a conference. The park also covers 2 shows on the oberland jungfrau.
Park is divided into areas (like megastones, Maya, Segway...)
There us also a playground for small children.

Positive
-Structure is well maintained
-Staff is friendly and helpful
-use of audio in multiple languages for the areas including the displays and the short movies
-good laser show for Megastones and oberland

Negative
-a little expensive for a family
-needs some rides for teens (has 2 simulation rides, but the submarine is not very good)

It is worth visiting? if you take in consideration the beauty of the location, Interlake ( German for "in between rivers") is next to the Alps, the Jungfrau Mountain with the Highest railway in Europe and if you like alternative theories (Ancient Aliens) I will say Yes...

Tips:
-try to catch an additional exhibition. I was able to see for no additional cost an official Indiana Jones exhibit. ..
-arrive at opening time an the shows move one section after the next counterclockwise

The JungfrauPark is based on the theories of Erich Von Daniken (author of Chariots of the Gods), it is a park divided in "lands" (a short movie and exhibition (reproductions). It includes areas as Maya (Mexico), Orient (Egypt), Nazca, Megastones (Stonehenge, laser show:very good)....some are "regular", others very good. also 2 movies that cover the Swiss Alps (very good) Jungfrau/Motherhorne, it has 2 simulator rides, one is worth it, the other not and an area for small children.
Most of the exhibits and the movies are syncroniced with different launguages (English, German, Spanish...). Shows start at 11:00 am and end at 5:00 pm, I will recommend to schedule the day for this park
A good place for all "Ancient Alien" fans.
On the summer season you can catch a live presentation from Daniken and that is a good complement to the visit.
The park is very clean and well maintained.
A major highlight for the park is the location, on Interlaken, a town located between 2 lakes (Interlaken in German) and you can go to the different mountains from the Alps.

I personally like the park very much, but to be fair, my daughters (11 & 15) find some parts interesting but the rest was just an "ok" experience.

This place is weird. Looks absolutely knackered; stuff piled in hallways; loads of empty areas; lights off in corridors you have to walk through; long walk to get to the kids play area then charged 40CHF for a 5 and 3 yr old!! Not sure what the gameplan is for this place but it badly needs urgent funding and some life put into it - toys are old, place is tired, food is bland and it seems the life has long since faded. Only go if it is raining and you have literally nothing else to do as it is not worth it at all.

I learned to not write while being too upset, but this time, it doesn't stop me to write a review.
We arrived at Jungfrau park and couldn't believe that the parking was nearly empty on a Saturday at 1pm, we thought we're in the wrong place. At the cashier there was an old lady that really did not feel like working that day, probably too sunny outside, or as there were barely people she must have bored herself immensely and was even annoyed to provide us information on prices and how the park works. There are activities for all ages.... not.
You pay 40 per adult and 22 per kid from 6yrs (!!!!!!!) to watch movies about mysteries that take around 10 min. I admit that we only watched one video but it was so boring.. I can see these kind of documentaries online as well...
we visited with two boys 12 and 7 years. Who were too old for the kids stuff and too young for the films, no wait the films have really no category...
Online we say pictures of the trampoline and segways, guess what, you pay extra for these activities and there was no one at the attraction, if you'd like to purchase the activity you had to walk back to the cashier or call a number (with your own phone)(!!!!)

Then there is the kids park (till 10yrs) We paid 14 chf for our 2,5yrs daughter..... she entertained herself, that's the only thing worth the one star. The equipment to play is old and of poor quality. There was an old electrical car or bus (that moves electronically) but yea for that you had to put coins in....
There was a Chinese woman who worked there who kept observing and following us around. (We did not look like superstars that they like we usually do) I'm kidding, but it was awful
We went out on the playground to enjoy the sun
But even there... spiderwebs around the playground, the construction was old as well the chairs for the adults uncomfortable..
we accepted that we made a mistake and went home... the parking still empty. Oh did I mention that we got charged 5chf for parking as well?! Unbelievable

Must not be missed.. spectacular view and the train journey is very picturesque. We went up via Grindelwald and returned through the opposite direction via Wengen.
Only downfall was that staff at Jungfrau was slightly racist, I understand there are lots of Indians and Chinese visitors there and have language barrier. They should have more patience and respect towards them, as they are the ones keeping your tourist economy afloat.

We went to the park on a rainy day, and what a mistake it was! With hindsight the number of cars in the car park should have been a clue as to how popular this thing is. Getting suspicious by the lack of anyone around we just bought a ticket for the kids play area. But that was a joke, you get better ones for free in McDonalds. Our seven year old daughter was too embarrassed to be seen playing there. So we wondered aimlessly for a while through the halls devoid of people. The whole atmosphere of the place was enough to make us decide the our time would be better spent watching television back in the hotel that anything on offer at this place. Avoid if you can, it's not worth even if they gave free entry.

We caught the first train up as the first 2 are cheaper as long as you come back by 13:00. Cost £194 for 2, seemed steep but we started at 7.20 and were entertained until the 13.00 train back. It was cloudy when we went so the 2 stops on the way up were not that great but you could see the views would be excellent, on top there was a high viewing platform and lower access to go out on the snow, merely minus 4 when we were there but as the temperatures at the base station were 19 that was quite a contrast. There are fascinating ice tunnels with sculptures, be warned the floor is also sheet ice. We did not try the cafes but the 20 franks each we paid for a snow bike was well worth it, only a short run but you can go as long as you have time. The exhibitions of the building were interesting - 16 years and many lost lives. I was glad we went early as the place was heaving as we left at 13.00. Wear warm clothes including hats, gloves and sturdy non slip shoes and enjoy

This was my third visit to Jungfrau!. it always takes your breath away. But this time i was happy as things have really improved as in the whole tour was made easier to navigate with better directions. There were also some new additions from last time we visited in 2009, so made my return trip worth coming again.
