The Alp of Pfingstegg ist THE viewpoint of Grindelwald. With the only Areal tramway of Grindelwald you can go up to the Alp where lush meadows, glaciers close enough to touch and get a magnificent view to the valley. Experience an action-packed ride on our toboggan run and then enjoy the view from the restaurant terrace, or one of the many seating areas. 2016 , we will expand our range of playground for Kids and adults. Went walking there many years ago in early summer. Was meant to be an easy stroll and it was a gorgeous sunny day. Was surprised to find a waterfall coming right down to the path. Put my wet weather jacket on and ran through it. Heard what sounded like a rumble of thunder which made no sense on a completely... More

We took the cable car up to Pfingstegg and walked to the lower glacier. The walk is relatively easy, but you need good hiking boots and good lungs. The views on the way up on the well kept track are breath taking. Eventually, you get to a mountain restaurant that is modern and clean where you can relax before you,... More

I really enjoyed the trip to the top and the views are great. Having visited the area a few times in the past we decided to avoid the main cable cars and visit some less well known places. We visited in the middle of summer, but there were only a few people going up, so it was really quick to make... More

we went up here on the last day of the season and had loads of fun on the toboggan and did it a few times, after that we decided to hike up to the baregg hut at the top of the mountain expecting a plate of chips to find the restraunt had shut already!

We caught the short cable car ride to the top where there is a lovely restaurant and bar overlooking Grindelwald. We walked back down through flower filled meadows, passing Swiss cows with bells and Swiss chalets. This is well worth a visit and the walk back down is well marked with good paths. Of and the cable car attendant was... More

We went up to Pfingstegg on a beautiful sunny day. The views were lovely and we walked back to Grindelwald down an easy path ( I wore walking sandals). It took about 1.5 hours and was beautiful.

Short cable car ride from Grindelwald taking you up to about 1300m, with walking trails galore. Also a 'toboggan' ride at the top which is good fun

The cable car from Grindelwald takes away the grind of walking up, and then the pleasant downhill walk to the Hotel Wetterhorn to get the bus back is within the capabilities of most people. The artificial sledge run is quite exciting, and worth doing.

We went here only for the toboggan run. I am glad we did. Our 2 little ones 4 and 6 year old enjoyed the run, and couldn't get enough of it. The cable car ride up was nice and picturesque. There was a cafe up there that we didn't try. All we did was do multiple runs on the toboggan.... More
