The Alp of Pfingstegg ist THE viewpoint of Grindelwald. With the only Areal tramway of Grindelwald you can go up to the Alp where lush meadows, glaciers close enough to touch and get a magnificent view to the valley. Experience an action-packed ride on our toboggan run and then enjoy the view from the restaurant terrace, or one of the many seating areas. 2016 , we will expand our range of playground for Kids and adults. We're open from May to October. Pfingstegg - THE Grindelwald Paradise!

Lovely view, fun toboggans!

Kids and adults enjoyed the alpine sleds/ toboggans. Rain cut our trip short but would do it again. Nice view of town from the top.

This is a great experience for you and old, together or separately. A safe adrenalin rush. It is in a beautiful setting but the view can only be focused on on the way back up - the downhill run is too enjoyable to look around!

We went to this place based on the ads and pamphlets at the hotel and my toddler loved it ... she wanted to take it again and again , till they were ready to close for the day

So cool!!!! The Rodelbahn was specular and inexpensive. Kids below 8 rides for free and we took at least 5 rounds coz it was fun thrill for the kids and beautiful scenery for the adults. Scenery at the top is also so serene and majestic.

The toboggan run here is not that long but it still gives the younger kids some joy and excitement. If you are looking for thrills try the flyer at First or the trot bike at Bort. Nevertheless Pfingstegg is a scenic place with good walking trails for all ages. It does give good views of the valley.

Cable gondola from Grindelwald to Pfingschtegg only takes about 5 mins. This used to be part of most travel tickets for the region but is now apparently privately owned so there is only a 20% reduction in the price. We've never eaten in the restaurant as it's been early so can't offer an opinion. The walk along, basically, the face... More

We took the cable car to the top of the mountain and drank tea at the restaurant. We were the only ones there! It was a beautiful, cloudy day and people were afraid of rain, I guess, because they weren't crowding the spot. It was also just past the off season time, so was far less crowded anyway. In any... It is a must to see during your visit to Grindelwald, you can see very nice view and enjoy fresh air breathing, also you might have light lunch or just Pizza and light snack.

Went walking there many years ago in early summer. Was meant to be an easy stroll and it was a gorgeous sunny day. Was surprised to find a waterfall coming right down to the path. Put my wet weather jacket on and ran through it. Heard what sounded like a rumble of thunder which made no sense on a completely... More

We took the cable car up to Pfingstegg and walked to the lower glacier. The walk is relatively easy, but you need good hiking boots and good lungs. The views on the way up on the well kept track are breath taking. Eventually, you get to a mountain restaurant that is modern and clean where you can relax before you,... More
