I'd definitely recommend a day trip to Berg Rigi. Great place to spend a day outside, See some snow, walk around, trek a bit if you'd like, goto a spa, have a nice meal and a nice train and boat ride. Its a wonderful little trip, I'd definitely recommend which is fun, you get to experience a little bit of... More

Traveled October 2015. Climbed up on cable car and enjoyed the magnificent views on the way up. When we got to the top it was like we could step onto the Cotton Wool Balls of fluffy clouds surrounding us. It was a lovely 22 degrees and we had the most wonderful experience. We walked around and enjoyed the wonderful sunshine... More

Mount Rigi is a smaller alp than Titlis or Pilatus, but it is beautiful, and it provides views of so much of the beauty around Lake Lucerne, not to mention other Alps, which are snow covered at this time of year (including Mount Rigi). I took the boat across Lake Lucerne (round trip), took the cogwheel train up the mountain... More

During my trip to Switzerland, we made a stop to MT Rigi. It was everything that I could expect. To reach the summit it was necessary to take the Cog RR up to the summit. There are several stops before reaching the peak. We got off the RR at one of the stops and had many scenic areas to take... More

Mount Rigi is in between Luzern and Arth-Goldau. with Public Transport you have a great route if you are combining Zurich - Milano train trip to inner Swiss tour. If you are travelling with Swiss Travel pass it's all the way included (even the cable-car Rigi Kaltbad to Weggis). Weggis to Luzern you can use the Steam powered ships runs... More

The boat ride from Lucern harbor then go up with the steepest cogtrain and came down with cable car was a good experience. The scenery is amazing!! I would like to comment the from the cable car station going back to the harbor direction is unclear. You have to walk through some residential area which will make you confused the... More

We must have picked the best day in November to do the trip. Not a cloud in the sky and no wind, we could see for miles. The railway is great, unbelievable that they could build it when they did. It is a slow climb to the top, about half an hour, sit on the left side for the best... More

Took cog railroad from Arth-Goldau to top of Mt. Rigi. Rigi ranks 400th in heigth among Swiss peaks so it is not exceptionally tall but has relatively nice views and is close to Zurich. Kind of expensive but everything in Zurich is expensive.
