We walked to old town from the Palace Hotel. Lots to see in old town. Fun way to spend an afternoon. Skip the vintage glass shop. Not very friendly.

Great Old Town with amazing statues and painting on buildings. Make sure you go on the river as far north as Spreuersbridge

We loved walking the cobbled streets of Old Town Lucerne and seeing the fountains and ornate frescoes on all of the buildings. The waterfront full of restaurants was charming. We even got to visit a farmer's market.

It is a lovely old city. I simply loved the city walking without any destination. The building structures are very nice. It has lot of shops, restaurants for all needs.

I'm not sure if I recommend this. Not really that much attractive though it has some historical values. However, since this is very near to the central place one can visit this.
