Enjoyed shopping and walking around the city. There were plenty of places to eat and shop. The Christmas decorations were up and shop windows were great.

The old town is a wonderful place to just walk around and meander in and out of shops and cafes. There are beautiful sculptures and frescos to enjoy.

I spent only few hours in Luzern; just stroll around the old town and took the boat to Fluelen. Luzern is quite and very beautiful. One has to spend a day or more to see and enjoy Luzern.

the architecture is the highlight of the area. Many of the shops have become quite touristy or are many of the brands you see in malls in America. Lots of paintings on the building walls....look up and around as you walk thru.

It would be lovely! Just be sure to dress warmly if you want to sit outside. Fondue by the river was great!

We walked around town, slowly, poking in the shops and churches and spent about 3 hours. If you were to go up the hill and along the city wall and into the fortifications, it will take longer.
