Beautiful and convenient

We stayed right across the road. It was very convenient to be able to get mass there on Sunday morning before exploring Geneva. Just listen out for the bells for start time.

Notre Dame Basilica is near the main train station in Geneva, Switzerland. My husband and I were glad to have attended the anticipated Mass which was scheduled at 6:30pm. Switzerland is a Protestant country and so we were glad that we had a chance to celebrate the Holy Mass in this nice basilica. Nice place for prayer.

This is a Roman Catholic church in the centre of Geneva, near the main railway station. It is a place I like to go to escape the hussle and bussle of Geneva. It is often quiet as there are not too many people visit and it is only a bit busy when there are masses. If you like peace and... More

I visited the church after reading some of the reviews here, highlighting the beauty of the stain glass windows. It was a Monday at around 12:30 in the afternoon. Mass was taking place and I was surprised at how many people attended. A song was sung, a prayer. It felt very serene and relaxing to enter this space on an... More

If you like beautiful church then this is one not to miss. The church is very well preserved and beautiful on the inside. Real candles to light and a place to sit down and enjoy the decoration in the church. The windows are masterpieces on their own.

Surrounded by roads so not much space around it but the inside holds beautiful stained glass and a peaceful interior.

We had a quick look at this small church. It's small and central. Worth a quick visit. Nothing special.

I wandered into this church near the train station and found it to be beautiful, small, and not overdone. Enjoyed strolling through it and looking at the beautiful stained glass windows.

The Basilica Notre-Dame of Geneva is the main Roman Catholic church in Geneva, Switzerland, the old Saint-Pierre cathedral being now a Protestant parish. The statue of Our Lady of Geneva, offered by the Pope Pius IX, is venerated. It is also a stopover for pilgrims going to Santiago de Compostela. The basilica marks somehow the beginning of the via Gebennensis,... More

It was an interesting comparison to the Cathedral de St. Pierre. Notre Dame still has a painted ceiling and side sections. The other cathedrals had been white washed.
