It's a bit of an odd one: you order at a counter (no cards accepted, so bring cash!) and then you sit at long tables and have your food. Fondue in our case, and it was amazing! One of the best ones I've had! because it's on the pier, you have lake view, and in summer you can swim here... More

I hadn't been to Geneva in summer before so I didn't believe that people swam in the lake. But they do! As do ducks and swans. The Bains offer a pleasant promenade if you don't want to swim with places to sit and simply enjoy the sun. Somewhat quirky place but worth a wonder.

I set out to Bains des Paquis with some trepidation from my hotel. The guy at the reception drew a line on the map, but close to the river I did not know whether to turn right or left. A couple of friendly youngsters guided me and a brink ten minutes walk took me to the place. It was magical... More

You must try bains des paquis for lunch - nice cantine style, but so pleasant sitting near the water. In the winter we had dinner there and the fondue is amazing!

This place is the right place to have a small lunch at any time of the day. Its very low profile but trendy. The food is fresh and simple. You can also have a small "swim" in the lake at the same time.

for sure this isn't the typical geneva place. you see a lot more of the alternative types and a lot less of the suits, but there's still a varied crowd that mixes well. recommended: fondue!!!

For a beautiful view on the old town of Geneva from its lake water level visit this extension of the right/northern side of the lake promenade. It is very popular for swimming and sun bathing during the warm months, and accessible for a walk and simple food options year round. You can get very close to the famous jet d'eau... More

It's an institution If you're in Geneva during summer time you MUST go visit "Les Bains des Pâquis". Cheap, social and with and unique view of the city, it's the place to chill during summer days. Prices are super low, food is good and people are nice.

At Paquis lovely and honest dishes are served as one can enjoy the view over Geneva and of the old bains (baths). Lively atmosphere and friendly staff. The staff- we were told - is in a reintegration project and by earning a living at Paquis can get their lives back on track.
