You have to book in advance but if you like science and engineering it is a great place to see. We couldn’t do the underground part but still good to go to.

The tour is very nice, informative and visually good presentations with beamers and projections. Would recommend 10/10, even for someone who does not understand the science.

Came to visit after learning about the place for years but they don't let you see the actual facility underground so in reality all you're seeing is an exhibition that could be anywhere. It's best to e-mail them and find out when the facility is...More

On the Guided tours for individuals page, there is a link at the bottom "Alternatively click here to create a CERN lightweight account." You create a CERN account, and then you can log in with that account and book a tour.
