A swim in the river

If you are in Thun and it is summer and hot you definitely should go to Flussbad Schwabis and dive into the refreshing turquoise waters of Aare river. The place is oldschool and small and beautiful. While you get dried by the sun sitting on the lawn you look at the beauty of the mountain tops in the background. It will be a memorable visit.

Awesome!!

Discovered this place on a bike ride from our air bnb. This was so cool and refreshing. It was all locals, so you feel like a local not a tourist. There was a nice grass area and it was very relaxing. I highly recommend!!

Great place to chill and swim. Nice little restaurant too. You need to be a good swimmer to go here as it's on the river.

that's the place to go, very genuine and like an old traditional bathing in the river.. typical swiss...not too big, with a good small restaurant in the shade..and you don't have to swim...just let it go, the river will transport you...but for good swimmers and people liking fresh water...18° to 20°C...a big pleasure!

Tubing without a Tube

Amazing. Hands-down my favorite place to swim on a hot afternoon. I went as a kid and recently enjoyed a visit with my husband. Fun for all ages. A must-do when in Thun in the summer. A lot of locals visit in the last hour of operation to cool off after work.

Awesome activity that you must do if you're in Thun! You can swim and jump in the river Aar in a beautiful spot with showers and lockers. The water is usually fresh but it doesn't matter because it is very enjoyable. You can walk back to the city (just follow the local kids if you don't know where to go) and jump from one of the bridge in the middle of the city and then just enjoy. The water is very clean and you must be a good swimmer though.

Perfect place to refresh yourself in the river Aare, in the middle of the city of Thun.
Amazing spot and very handy, all equiped. Restaurant as well, lockers.
Price is very OK: 4.5 CHF
What a pleasure is it, everytime I go there.
Staff is very smiley too.

Relaxing and magical place

This year, after last year, in passing, we were unable to dedicate time to this enchanting place, we managed to dive into the clear waters of the river Aare. We spent two afternoons in this small but cozy beach facility located right in the city center. Highly Recommendation to enter and let yourself be carried away by the gentle current of the river, just great fun!
