We biked around the lake, which takes about 2-3 hours. The views are spectacular and we were lucky to have really good weather. It's about 55 kilometres, and a great day out. There are plenty of places to stop for refreshments or lunch.

The lake is the most beautiful colour and is well worth a visit if you are in the area. If you can do a boat trip, so much the better.

We took the train to Thun for an afternoon visit. What a beautiful city. I'd recommend a whole day to explore the city and even a few days to enjoy the mountains/river. The main city has fabulous bridges that cross the river connecting the city...More

It is a wonderful spot to visit with great views towards the surrounding mountains and a great chance to see the every-day Switzerland that appears in the chocolate advertisements.

I believe that a great deal of people have bad days. It happens and it is not pleasant to have this when you are traveling in Thun. Luckily, the park that goes along the lake is your place to decompress and relax. No matter what...More

Interesting contrast compared to many other Cities I have visited. A little bit of everything including Castles, River Locks, Boats, Lovely Walks river side, shop windows with esoteric goodies such as Crystals, Angel Cards, CD's, Pendulum's, Massages.

Hi! you can swim anywhere in the lake of Thun. It is free of charge. There are also some areas offer ticket entrance, mostly a bit far from Thun city centre. For the lake side by side the train station, you can swim freely... More
