Much improved environment for the bears as compared to a number of years ago. There is easy access for those needing assistance between levels. The bears were out and seemed to be enjoying themselves on a sunny day. The place is clean and well maintained....More

My wife and I were very amazed to see bears (or Baren in Swiss) have their own private spacious enclosed area in the heart of the city, where they are allowed to move around freely within an enclosure filled with trees, bushes and a cave....More

Here you get to see bears play with each other and walk around a natural area near the river. The bears are not from the area, but it does not matter. It's worth a few minutes and is free to watch.

Interesting to be able to see the bear family for free. Not sure about the ethics of keeping bears in such a location.

Of course they can't reach you :) . But at least you can see them not in a zoo, but in public and enjoy watching them taking bath.

If you are in Bern of course you must see the bears! It is so nice to see that they have more space than the pits from years ago. They are very easy to find if walking away from the famous clock in old Bern.

There was one bear out when we went by. It's a fun stop at the end of the arcades. We very much enjoyed reading the history of the bears and seeing their " new" home.

I went to see this place with a friend. It was ok. It's nice to see the bears but nothing special about it. You must be an animal lover or bear lover to enjoy watching them.

I want to visit this when I'm in Switzerland late September 2015. When do you expect the bears to be back?

There are many other lovely things to see and do in Bern. Most importantly float down the river with the locals....

Hi can someone tell me how many bears are housed in this bear park. Also is it totally closed for now or are some parts open and we can see a few bears. Thanks.
