Walking to find the bear park from our hotel in Bern was fun. I lost my way and walked way out of my way to find it, but that is somewhat the fun of it all. It was a warm autumn afternoon and the bears...More

This park sits aside a beautiful river, there are bears to watch in the enclosure, but the big draw is the path down by the river. An elevator is on site allowing for wheel chair access to the path along the river. It’s also free!

Not much to see here except a sad looking bear with nothing to do and just pacing up and down in frustration . Situated in a town centre and open to anyone .

I found it quite uncommon to find in a city-center an area with live bears but that’s it! It was nice to see them running between different areas.

Bern has always been the city of bears, and formerly hosted their bears in a medieval hole in the ground. It was sad to see the bears trapped in the hole. The city has created a great outdoor area along the river with several layers,...More

There isn't much to see, but I felt like I needed to see the bears if I was in Bern and they were easy to find. Historically, it's a great story to think bears have been there for as long as they have, so it...More

They're just there chilling, living their best life in the old town of Switzerland's Federal capital. They go to sleep over the Winter so if you catch a glimpse of them before hibernation, recognise your luck. I'm a close neighbour and overall they're pretty quiet,...More

There are many other lovely things to see and do in Bern. Most importantly float down the river with the locals....
