The building is very majestic, and here is the seat of the Swiss Parliament. From the square behind the parliament there is a nice view of the river.

Come to Bundeshaus platform with a take-away coffee or beer and some snacks and enjoy the sunshine for free. You can pick one of the outdoor chairs to chill on and enjoy the view over the Aare river and Matte quarter as well as the view over the alps if the weather is good enough.
Of course you can also visit the Bundeshaus and learn about Swiss history and politics during the guided tour ;)

Beautiful building, nice outside standing and very nice surroundings. A very peaceful area, everything moving just nice and very, very calm, quite a few shops and coffee shops around and an excellent place to walk around and watch.

Have a glimpse to the national political power centre and its stilish rooms for plenary sessions, commission rooms and others. Wherever you go, you always keep meeting Parlamentarians and occasionally also Federal Counsellors. Body guards are few and invisible.

You need to reserve by internet 3 days before your visit and bring your passport. It is an amazing building and entertaining tour where you can take a seat directly in the plenary. Arrive 30 minutes early for the security check.

The building is impressive and a great symbol of the Swiss identity and the particular political system.

Especially worthwhile, depending on your trip dates, is that every October they will project a 30-minutes sound & light show directly on the building.

The 2019 show was during one week, and was themes on the spatial journey to the Moon in 1964. It was extremely impressive and moving.

It is a functional building and not really a good place for visit. May be just spent sometime far outside for a few photos.

Set right along the river but high on a hill this building takes its place among the other beautiful buildings and has an architectural splendor of it's own. Worth checking out.

Loved views from the old town as well as down by the Aare river. They do tours but we missed them. Highly recommend checking it out.

This dominating building is well worth walking around and admiring. No internal tours while we were there as Parliament was in session, but the exterior is very impressive, as is the terrace behind the main building, with lovely views over the Aare River
