Just 1.80ch each way - I took a round trip just to ride back and forth. No history lessons or conversation, just a fun little boat ride across the river and back.

This was a short boat ride across, nothing too exciting but we were exploring Basel by foot and this was a nice addition to the morning.

For a few francs you get a wonderful view of the city and see how they moved across the Rhine old school! It's a fun way of getting from one side of Basel to the other without the need to walk or take the tram....More

Once the main transport over the Rhine the 4 small green powered ferries are now a staple of Basel. Slow down your tourist pace, enjoy the ride and take a peek at the Cathedral.

If visiting you must do this as it is not something available everywhere. A peaceful way to cross the Rhine and inexpensive.

For less than two CHF you cross the river at 4 different spots in a ferry which has been running forever, using zero energy, just the power of the river. It’s the closest you can get to the water unless you decide to take a...More
