Our friends who are originally from Basel recommended this museum. It is a bit off from the center but very easily reachable by bus. I did not know what to expect, not being familiar with the artist. But I was not disappointed. Entrance fee is 10.00 SFR. One has to be patient sometimes because the 'mobiles' take a break for... More

The museum certainly contains some impressive works of moving sculpture. However having been round the exhibits I was asking myself which of us was nuttier, Tinguely for creating them or me for not appreciating their appeal.

A very original museum. Although modern it is not at all unfriendly or aimed to attract only the ones who are involved into modern art. I was really interested to see these peculiar objects and enjoyed the artist's creativity and imagination! Very good for children! Very nice caffe!!!

Fantastic, both the external building and the content. Beautiful artistic bar. The place is a bit expensive but it deserves the price.

Amazing exhibits with a number working when you press the switch. Annoyingly there is an unknown time delay between each moving of the model. There really should be a countdown timer on each exhibit showing how long you have to wait before the exhibit will move.

Having read all the glowing reviews we chose to spend our 18CHF per adult and go. There is very little at the museum to start with for 18 CHF worth. The working sculptures that are there have intervals between 7 minutes for the small exhibits and up to 30 and 60 minutes for the large pieces to see them in... More

It was great to see the collection of odds and ends from wheels to musical instruments and dolls that were used to make these huge pieces. The way that his life's work is documented along the hallway made for very interesting reading. Well worth a visit.

Beautiful location, good review of Tinguely's life, development and evolving success. The music machines was interesting, the idea the machines makes started some thoughts. Nice to see how small children was really fascinated by the playing machines.

This is a super original museum. I recommend it for all ages. It is unique, interactive and surprising. Also the museum shop (I love museum shops) has excellent memory gifts or trip gifts for you or someone you feel like giving a present! The outdoor garden is also something you cants miss plus a walk along the river!
