We enjoyed an extremely interesting tour of one of Perugia's gems. The family has been in business for well over a century, and their story along with the venue are very interesting. Another example of the deep talent, artistry and ability of Umbria. Highly recommended!

The Caselli family of artists has been making enamelled glass windows here since 1860. The studio is located in an old residence that dates back to the 15th century. The photos on their website look amazing and I felt we just had to visit and see for ourselves. It's quite hard to find but I'm glad we did, because we... More

Maddalena and her mother were lovely hostesses for my academic colleagues and I visiting from the States! The artistry and care exhibited by the work produced in this studio are inspiring. From the first email that we exchanged through her patience in providing directions and her sharing their desire to see this craft survive mass-production and industry, we valued Maddalena's... The one hour tours are only in the morning (the last one is at 12); on Tuesdays I believe you can just show up without a booking. If you want to book ahead, ask for an English language tour. The tour will take you through the old/current workshops of this family of stained glass makers. I believe they have done... More

A trip back in time in this family owned workshop/museum. See a fabulous stained glass painting while learning about the master crafters.

A truly unique experience having one of the Moratti Caselli family members talk you through the history of a beautiful art preserved from generation to generation. Interesting, pleasant, personalised, with the additional benefit of visiting a historical private home in the beautiful Perugia.

Imagine an art where the location of the work is a factor in the artistry. Light and color are both vital factors in the creation of a stained glass piece. These are just a few of the many things we learned as a part of our wonderful tour at Studio Moretti Caselli. The history and craft is interesting and the... More
