This is a beautiful little historic church near Port San'Angelo. Not to be missed. Be sure to read about it's historic significance, then while you are there, take time to soak up the silence, to meditate, or pray.

The Tempio is found near the end of Via Garibaldi, near the Porto San Angelo. The interior is spare, but reminded me of the Pantheon in Rome (much smaller scale!) but with the same airy, uplifting simplicity. Closes at 6pm the days it is open.

Peace and tranquility await you in this unusually shaped place of worship. It's well worth the walk to to far side of Perugia to experience this place.

We stumbled on this church by accident while walking around Perugia, and it was worth the visit -- was built as a pagan church in the year 500 A.D. or so and then later became a Catholic church. Fascinating to walk around inside.

Is an area famous in a student's areas, during spring and summer time the people go there to lay on the grass and take some sun. But it is very windy. The church behind is a nice place to sit in peace and silence. There is an antick tower near , museum that you can visit and see the all... More

The place is just great. In front of the monument is a nice small park where you can relax and do sunbathing :)

The day we went to visit the Tiempo di Sant'Angelo, the inside was all arranged for a wedding, and it was the most beatufiul thing! Since it's round, all the chairs placed like that, with the altar right in the middle, illuminated by the windows from all directions - it was trully an amazing experience. The walls are also full... The temple of Sant Angelo is an ancient pagan church that was built in the year 350 or so, and then later taken over by the Catholic Church -- it is incredible to just walk around inside the spectacular circular church and see all the different aspects of it

This is a very beautiful church. Non-typical with it's circle plan, perched atop Corso Garibaldi. Apart from nice architecture this is also a place where we've used to chill out on the sunny days sometimes with a frisbee, blanket and perhaps a bottle of wine with panini. Lawn outside of the church is great for that, and quite a few... More

Although this church is on the northern edge of the city, it is well worth a visit: it is a magical place in a lovely setting. It has been lovingly restored to its original Romanesque style and it has an other-worldly atmosphere which is quite beguiling. The Via Garibaldi, which leads up to it, is also worth a look for...
