This gallery surpassed expectations. There is a strong emphasis on religious art as this is effectively the output of the region in its golden ages, particularly around 1500. There are superb explanation boards which give a good sense of the evolution of art in Umbria....More

In the old center of Perugia, Corso Vannucci, we will find this nice museum, the Galleria Nationale d'Arte of the Middle age and the Renaiissance; and arts of Perugia.

huge collection of art works, reflecting different parts of the City and the whole province, mostly religious art but also could give glances of scenes of the civil life in the area

A truly world class collection. While it has its obvious emphasis on Umbrian art, there are many outstanding pieces here, thoughtfully displayed and well worth visiting.
