Easy to get to - we used trains; short walk into town. Lovely villages with market and cafes; get boats to wonderful islands

For a hot day in Perugia, we decided to get away to this lake. There was an improvised beach looking almost real. It was very good just to enjoy ourselves for few hours and dive a bit. Would not recommend this beach if you want...More

We did a car tour around the lake visiting different small towns. It was lovely. For history buffs, you can follow the path of Hannibal's victory here as well as appreciate the lake itself

Try the ferry services to any of the three islands for a fun afternoon. We went to Isola Polvese and explored olive groves, an ancient castle and church and enjoyed the quiet of nature.
