We liked Assisi the most out of all hill towns in Umbria and Tuscany but this a piazza was as any other. Nothing really catches your eye. Too many restaurants have there seating on it. Way too crowded.

From this point, choose a street to meander down and you will marvel at the restaurants and cafes, the leather and porcelain shops and the peace and quiet. Or just take a seat on the Piazza and watch the world pass by!

Its a steady climb up but you can get public transport up to the top. Lots of beautiful shops along the way, cafes and eateries its worth the walk up.
