Worth a visit, we found it on the way to the big cathedral as we lost in the small streets. Nothing special but if it's on your way.

After knowing some background to St Catherine, it is interesting to know that the place where she lives is still preserved.

Small and very well done preservation of St Catherine's convent. It is very tranquil and a great place to visit. You have an excellent opportunity to not only appreciate the art but also to enjoy the quiet and reflect.

I have always been fascinated with Saint Catherine--so maybe that is why I thought this was so special. The chapel room has beautiful artwork. What I really loved was the 6 sites that are related to Saint Catherine. If you start at her house, you can then walk to the fountain which is lovely, the church which is magical. But... More

We stopped in when we had a few hours before leaving for Rome. Learned alot about this local Saint. Some of her relics are here and on display including her finger.

Interesting, and even perhaps moving for Catholics, view of the place Saint Catherine spent many years. A bit of a hilly hike from the central piazza (Il Campo), but worth the effort.

St. Catherine is the patron saint of Siena (and Italy and Europe, for that matter), and a hometown hero as she grew up in Siena. This site is the location of her home and church. It is located across a pleasant breezeway, which is a peaceful place to rest for a while after walking all over town. The mall church... More

Yes it is worthy. Splendid views around. The place is quite different from the crowded famous places. This is also that Sienna! Quiet places where you can rest and admiring gorgeous views and restful atmosphere. In the top 5 for me.

To go to this attraction one has to go down a slope and then once you arrive you will be surrounded by beauty and even this is a must see attraction, since Santa Caterina of Siena was a great example for all of us. One you enter in both the church and the house you will be impressed and enhanced... More

The small chapel-like gallery that features giant frescos of St. Catherine's life is beautiful. Use the audio guide to understand the paintings. Easy to see and appreciate. Across the breezeway is the actual church with the famous cross through which Christ appeared to St. Catherine. Open in the morning and again at 3:00pm. Inspiring story of a holy young girl... More
