This is a stunning part of the cathedral with its great paintings on the wall and ceilings and the books that are on display. We found this the best part of the cathedral.

We were stunned by the beauty of these old books all done by hand. The Biblioteca is not big by any means but worth to walk around, this is not something you see everywhere.

Very small thus the name Piccolomini. Some very impressive artwork. Entrance is right off the cathedral so you can't miss it. Make sure you include this in your admission pass.

My review of the Cathedral is also valid for this. The same procedure applies. The artwork is incredible. Not to be missed.

The artistic skill and beauty is evident in bucketfuls. I was truly astonished at the feast of colour and images that met my eyes. Absolutely beautiful.

The Piccolomini Library is housed within the Duomo. On TripAdvisor, The Duomo is listed as the Siena Cathedral and is the #2 "Things to do in Siena". If you go to that TripAdvisor listing, you will see a yellow button... More
