Visit the museum as a part of my ticket to the dome. It was nice to see the museum but compared to the dome and the crypt I found it a bit disappointing. I would not have visit this place if I didn't have the...More

The museum itself is nice however to understand clearly what every thing is, you have to rent an iPad for which you needed to leave your passport or an id in addition to extra money. There should be signs explaining the pieces. As for the...More

A spectacular museum situated in a magnificent city. This museum is a treasure trove of antiquity and is easily accessible to boot. When up to the Panorama level you're treated to breathtaking views of Siena - worth the walk & steps. A Siena must see...

This is not a review for the museum which was beautiful but our experience visiting the panorama. We traveled with a young baby who is only 3 month old. You can't take the stroller in so we carried him all the way up to see...More

As with most of the museums we visited in Umbria and Tuscany (Pisa, Cortona, Perugia, and Siena) we found ourselves almost alone in the museum's rooms. The art is amazing -- a room of Duccios, some Fra Angelico, and the original sculpture from the church.

This museum features numerous frescoes by artists of Siena. A particularly famous piece is Simone Martini’s Maesta (Virgin Mary in Majesty). Unless you are a culture vulture or history buff you may find this museum contains ‘more of the same’ as what you’ve already seen...More

Very interesting and instructive museum. See the original Duomo works up close and personal (copies in the Duomo itself). Not to be missed!

Duccio di Boninsegna's Polittico is the point of the iceberg of this incredible museum. Absolutely to visit it and the XIII, XIV and XV'th century will have no secrets for you. Overwhelming.

This museum is so very nice and we must visit it nearly every time we are in Siena. In addition to the wonderful artwork, the panoramic terrace reached by many steps is well worth the effort to see wonderful views of Siena.

Delightful collection of religious artifacts, but I'm particularly fond of the fabric collection. The hand-embroidered religious vestments and the exceptionally woven cloths took my breath away. With each visit I find new and more wonderful details in the fabric art. Definitely check out the Tree...More
