Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This Renaissance covered gallery is located in the Piazza Logge del Papa directly opposite the Palazzo Piccolomini and, on the same side of the piazza, but just down from, the impressive Chiesa di San Martino. The Logge is open on three sides and the facade has four columns that support three arched entrances but these are fenced off. Apart from the frieze on the front facade which is a dedication to the Piccolomlini Family, which was the Pope's family, and some Piccolomini heraldry emblems on the Via di Pantaneto side, it is largely undecorated,

The Logge was completed in 1462, one year after construction started.

Not a must see.

We passed in June 2018 and there was a lot of scaffolding around the loggia so expect it may be some time before this can be viewed properly.

The Loggia of the Pope was another meeting place in the medieval Siena. It looks austere in comparison with the Loggia of Merchants.

This dates from the 15th century and is rather plain compared to the one used by merchants not far away as it does not have any painted or other decorations. It is closed off with a fence.

This loggia was built by Pope Pius II in the 15th century and currently it is not used and is fenced off denying access to it. It is a fairly basic with no ornately painted ceilings as seen on a loggia near the main piazza. Not something to go out of the way to see but in walking around Siena you are likely to come across it.

Evening with friends in this place next to the pope's lodges, the place is normal and a bit old, usually the food is quite good, but this time we weren't so lucky, the carpaccio taken as an appetizer was literally frozen, the meat not cooked enough , the wild boar ragout didn't taste like wild boar, Everything was average, nothing inedible but nothing to remember without infamy or praise

Nice place, average staff. The costs are low, the food is quite good, without infamy or praise. The wild boar ragù did not taste like wild boar (I eat it often) and it was certainly not among the best I ate during a week spent in Tuscany.
