The Tower of Pisa (180 feet in height) was begun in 1173 and, due to its faulty foundation on unstable soil, leans precariously more than 14 feet out of line, preventing visitors from climbing its 300-plus steps to the top.

We went into Pisa for the day and it was lovely. The leaning tower of Pisa was busy and very beautiful. Watch your bags there are lots of pick pockets

Many people bent on living like a local and traveling off the beaten path will tell you to steer clear of Pisa, but please DO NOT LISTEN! Though the grounds are flocked with tourists taking cheesy pictures, if you can push some aside and get...More

Just stunning. We didn't tire of the fight of the tower and going inside was so exciting. The odd feeling a climbing a spiral staircase in a leaning tower is something that must be experienced.

You see the typical tourist photos all the time and of course we took them too. And looking back at them it almost seems impossible that they are real but they are and the tower is truly magnificent. I did not get to climb it...More

Great to see! But i think once you have been you wont need to return. There is also not a lot in Pisa in general so just be warned one day is more than enough here!

Surely one of the most impressive things to see in Toscana, and one of the Italy symbols. Place was totally overcrowded in August during our visit. Also pretty expensive to enter (18€ only for Tower), while for 8€ you can enter 3 other buildings there...More

I don't think if there a storage place for luggages at the train station. It's a small station.
