My husband and I visited the Guinigi Tower on 24 May and thought the views of the pretty Tuscan rooftops were lovely. We thought it was good value at €4. Although it was a bit challenging for me climbing up there due to my aversion to heights, it was well worth it, and not so bad climbing down.

Our first stop once inside the walled city was to the top of the tower to get an overview. Great for pictures on a sunny day. Please note the top has a very small deck and it can get crowded pretty quickly. Love the trees on top!

Fantastic idea to put sone trees on the top of this tower. Nice, panoramic view for all Lucca. Do not pass Lycca without climbing up this tower.

We climbed all the steps here in the baking heat but it was well worth it for the views and the shade under the trees on the top. Lovely view right round the city and only cost a 4 euro each!

The views of Lucca from the top of the tower are spectacular. The cost to enter was 4 euros. There are approximately 230 steps to climb. While the climb was not difficult the staircase narrows as you climb, getting quite narrow by the top. There is not much space on the landing on the top so visiting during hours when... More

One of the two towers that allow a view from above of Lucca and the surroundings of the city. Access is at a charge, climbing stairs are safe and comfortable enough.

Another interesting landmark although it is quite a climb to reach the top which has wonderful views overlooking the city. Well worth the 4 euro charge.

Beautiful view from the top, better than from the clock tower, as you get to see the tower from this vantage point. Ticket guy was good, spoke lots of languages. Discount available for children, students and over 65. Recommended.

Lucca is well worth the visit and climbing this tower can be a highlight at the end of the day. But a 'combined' ticket at the Orto Botanical Giardino. Added bonus is the tower has trees growing in the roof. A good quality T-shirt available too with the tower logo.
