Montenero offers a wonderful view from the hills, and it looks like being in the early years of the 1900s. The sanctuary deserves a visit, especially for its spiritual value, but also as a place to share experiences of faith and gratefulness.

start by taking the Finacolari from the main square up to the Santuario, visit the museum of miracles and the candle grotto, and take lunch at orlandi's, a real treat out as you scan the landscape of Livorno and pisa from this beautiful mountain of Montenero

From its court you have a great view on the sea. Opposite it, there are some little shops if you are interested in buying some souvenirs of the church and... More

By using the Livorno Bus tickets you can get a Number 1 bus outside the hotel to Grand Palazzo. Cross the road and take the number 2 to Montenero. Buy the train ticket from the Bar across the street

This church/sanctuary is situated on the top of a hill with breathtaking views over Livorno, the coast and towards Pisa and the Alps. There is a calm and peaceful air all around which encourages you to just take a little time out. The altar is magnificent and the church reflects its long history. There are numerous pictures drawn and painted... More
