We didn’t get a chance to pop in because it was closed (hence the 4), but it was a stunning piece of architect! This was a fantastic piece of architecture, wish we could have wandered inside.

From the outside the Basilica is impressive, once you walk into the court yard, not so much. However the piazza is a nice place to have a coffee and people watch. The entrance fee is $5 Euros.

When the guidebook said 463 steps to the top I wasn't thrilled but the views over the city were so well worth the effort. Absolutely breathtaking 360' of the city and Tuscany!

The basilica is located right next to the Firenze station. A 15th century church can be visited if we have time to spare in florence.
