Found this place while walking around the Duomo, sat outdoors and listened to a very good violin player, had good salads, spaghetti and meatballs, clams-- all in all a lovely way to spend an evening. Waiters were attentive, service was quick.
We were looking for a place for dinner and went in on a whim. The service was prompt and the menu ok. The food came out timely and was fine but nothing spectacular. Price was ok. The is an ok place for dinner just don’t...More
The restaurant is right next to the Duomo and looks very touristy (which it is) however the food is delicious. I have been to Florence many time over the past few years and will always make time for a quick pizza here. They are traditional,...More

We thought we'd take a chance and just walk to dinner without a recommendation from our hotel.. A BAD choice !! We stopped at Le Botteghe di Donatello on the Piazza del Duomo because it looked busy and had a very nice location.--- After waiting...More
I gratefully sank down on to one of their outdoor chairs, wanting a late lunch AND a rest! They are right in the Duomo square, so a great location for 'people watching' too. Pace was friendly and unhurried, which was just the ambiance I needed....More
Having reached the point of hunger where I posed a danger to those around me, we chose this place in haste, with no regard for the official rule that the better the location the poorer the restaurant. I wanted a bottle of wine and something...More
Awful service, disgusting food, very expansive for what it is. The smell was terrible (like siwers). For an example : You have no extra hot water with your tea (you have tout ask for some) whereas your italian neighbours have directly some, just the kind...More
We had dinner here and really enjoyed it. There are many restaurants around Il Duomo, but this one seemed to have a better menu and the food was really good. The menu was diverse and the service was good. I ordered a calzone and loved...More
Great location, very good service throughout. Had some tasty homemade pasta with wild boar ragu, delicious. Good value house wine made a very enjoyable lazy lunch shaded from the afternoon sun. Definitely recommended. Enjoy.
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city
as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
