Very easy to miss, this tiny church is free to visit - though you can make a donation for its upkeep - and beautiful inside. It won’t take much of your time, being so small, but is worth ten minutes or so.

Truly unexpected finding of Ghirlandaio frescos in the building of St. Martin confraternity. Amazingly beautiful and well preserved. Stop by if you walking in Florence, it is next to Dante’s house.

Once again, without a tour guide we would have missed it. I believe there are a number of these chapels that were built for those who were not allowed to attend church. In addition, as you walk the streets you will find religious figures adorning...More

This is a tiny little chapel and we almost missed it, but so glad we didn't. Some beautiful frescoes adorn the walls - one of Florence's hidden treasures!

I have been to Florence many times and never noticed this chapel before. We just happened upon it as we were walking by. It is absolutely beautiful. I wrote the name down in my journal as "Congregation dei Buonomini di San Martino." This is a...More

Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by
an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city.
The historic center is characterized by the immensity
of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the
brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does
not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni
Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is
enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city
