This was temporarily his home whilst amongst other things he organised the city defences .There is nothing outstanding that sticks in the memory but it made an interesting contrast to the other better known attractions nearby & I did learn quite a bit about Michaelangelo...More

Obviously we are all big Michelangelo fans. Here it is more about the family residence and the school created by the master than his own art. Two levels, they have done a very nice jobs curating the art on site. It was cool inside, a...More

The actual home that Michelangelo lived in in Florence. Only a block from Santa Croce and an easy and rewarding several minute side trip.

We were not sure what to expect but loved the works and the stories. Absolutely worth a visit for anyone interested in Michelangelo.

A museum on land downtown that was owned by Michelangelo in a house built by his grand nephew. Contains his first sculptures. The art is beautiful. Very interesting place with none of the crowds of tourists seen elsewhere.

I went for a long walk in search of the Casa Buonarroti, Michelangelo’s former residence. Its facade was very unprepossessing (he was a very stingy guy apparently) and I walked past it before back tracking. A sculpture of him at a very young age and...More
