This 19th century piazza has undoubtedly the best panoramic view of Florence. The square is decorated with copies of Michelangelo's sculptures, but it's the view people come here to see.

This is definitely the place to go if you want to capture the city of Florence. Go at sunset, the river glows with the reflections of its palaces and magnificent historic buildings onto the Arno river.

Good break after being in museums and cathedrals. Long walk up but views are amazing and picturesque. There are many ways to get up here either by stairs or along the car route. Stairs are not for strollers for sure. We went up by stairs...More

This place is worth the climb to view the sunset as the view is breath taking. There are a few stands that sell drinks and food, though less public toilets! Worth a visit.

The views are breathtaking. But not a must stop if you are very busy. This is more of a touristic photo op visit. Lovely area. Tour busses galore. No need for a return visit

Very steep streets up and lots of very steep stairs. Tip.... go up through the rose gardens, much easier and prettier. Stunning views of the old quarter and Ponte Vecchio, the famous vista.
