This 19th century piazza has undoubtedly the best panoramic view of Florence. The square is decorated with copies of Michelangelo's sculptures, but it's the view people come here to see.

Very steep streets up and lots of very steep stairs. Tip.... go up through the rose gardens, much easier and prettier. Stunning views of the old quarter and Ponte Vecchio, the famous vista.

This a spot to visit during the sunset. Lots of people and a slight hike, but you can take a bus or taxi. It's beautiful at sunset and the steps and terraces are full of people enjoying just that view.

The view of Florence is fabulous from atop, it is a must. You can take a bus easily, walk up the steps in front, or walk up the winding road from the left. All the world is yours up there!

We were advised to visit at sunset. Although the area got very busy there was a fabulous atmosphere and the most amazing views of Florence and the Duomo. Would also be lovely at sunrise and maybe not so busy

This was an amazing cultural experience. We visited during a peak tourist period but found it easy to get too and found other visitors very courteous.

elevated terrace offers visitors an incomparable and
breathtaking view of the entire city from above.
