After not receiving soap at our hotel, we did a search for a soap shop and came across this place. Even with a language barrier, the staff could not have been more helpful! Their products are amazing! We ended up going back and loading up with products for our trip home! Definitely worth a look if you are near the... More

I wandered into this shop having lost my makeup purse in Florence. I was able to buy Italian cosmetics, which were organic. Lovely foundation, eyeshadow, mascara and lipstick (Lepo was one brand) The lady so kindly gave me lots of samples of skin care products, enough to see my 3 days out. One product was so lovely (incarose) I've had... More

I was introduced to the Biffoli Shop by a Fiesolean friend when I asked if she knew a place where I might get more of the Nesti Dante soap I'd found in the boutique at my favorite Hotel-cum-B & B in the Florence area (notice, I'm not giving any names because I want it to remain a well-kept secret). She... More

Annual visit to get my supply of l,erbolaria products for my family and self. This year picked the wrong day as literally packed out with a tour party with major shopping lists! However the patron and staff were very gracious and apologised for the crush and the wait and offered me lots of lovely free samples. I love this shop!!

I love Biffoli Shop. I could spend hours there, browsing and smelling the various different scents of soaps, shampoos, conditioners, hand creams, body creams, body oils, etc!! My favorite shop in all of Italy (it is probably a tourist trap but I don't care). Wonderful quality products that are a bargain for us U.S. shoppers! Products are unavailable or at... More

We popped into this quaint little shop after walking around the il Duomo. We weren't planning to do any shopping as we had ticket times to L'Accadamia and had to hurry back. The shop was amazing with beautiful scents, soaps, perfumes, etc. I happened to pick up a small vial of perfume that I thought at the time was 'lovely'... More

I popped into this lovely little shop while my husband and I were visiting the Duomo. It is stocked with all kinds of lovely perfumed bath and body products, many of which I had not seen before. The salespeople were friendly and let me browse without bother. I ended up going twice; the first time I just bought a lovely... More

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
