We've visited it 2 weeks ago. Of course, the monument is astonishing and incredible; should be seen in a life time! We bought the tickets from the office there. The person serving us (a man, around 55 years old) was very rude and gave us...More

Arrived around 8:30 in the morning and the line to enter the church was quite substantially long. I stopped to speak to a guide who told me the church opens at 10 and this line is daily. I decided to join the tour guide and...More

The lines are intimidating, but we waited until about 4:00pm to go and the one was half what it was in the morning. They have free guided tours in all languages. Our guide was very knowledgeable and I enjoyed hearing about the history of the...More

From the outside the cathedral is something else that's for sure. The piazza around is very busy and queues were long to get in, but we opted for a paid guided tour which meant we went in right away which I would recommend for the...More

Wow wow wow!!! The Duomo dominates the centre of Florence and is stunning. The outside decor is breathtaking and in fact outshines the inner sanctum. Be prepared to queue for a long time in burning sun or get there early. Also ensure that you are...More

You have to make a reservation to walk to the top of the dome but worth it. The walk up is 414 stairs but it isn't too hard or claustrophobic which I worried about. There are some tight spots but it is bearable. The view...More

A big church in Florence with beautiful craft works on the walls. The place is always very crowded with tourists and people trying to promote something or another. Please be very careful when visiting this place, as we met an African man who refused to...More

Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by
an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city.
The historic center is characterized by the immensity
of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the
brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does
not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni
Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is
enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city

All dress codes were adhered to when we were there. Especially no bare shoulders. The climb to the top of the dome has some areas where good shoes would be better than sandals.
